The CMA regulates all classes of insurance business conducted in and from within Cyprus, including commercial insurers, captive insurers, and insurance intermediaries.
Insurance companies are classified by type: Class 1-3 (Long-term), Class 3A (Long-term restricted), Class 3B (Long-term special purpose), Class A-E (General), Class F (Captive), Class M (Multi-line), and Class T (Special purpose).
